Workshop Format
JobStart is designed to provide practical, engaging instruction that prepares students for one of life's most important transitions—the move from the classroom to the workplace. Every workshop is built around real-world scenarios, interactive discussion, and practical strategies students can begin using immediately.
To meet the needs of different schools, homeschool organizations, and community partners, JobStart currently offers two workshop formats.
The 45-Minute Workshop
This focused workshop introduces students to the essential workplace skills they need to approach their first interview with confidence and begin their first job with the habits employers value most. It is ideal for classroom presentations, homeschool programs, youth organizations, and other groups seeking a concise, high-impact learning experience.
The 90-Minute Masterclass
The complete JobStart Masterclass provides a more in-depth learning experience built around the six core workplace modules. Students have additional opportunities for discussion, examples, and practical application while exploring the professional skills that contribute to long-term workplace success.
Every Student Receives More Than Information
Each participant receives a professionally designed workbook that reinforces the concepts presented during the workshop and serves as a practical reference long after the session has ended. Rather than simply listening to a presentation, students leave with a resource they can revisit before interviews, during their first weeks on the job, and throughout their early career.
Whether presented in a classroom, community organization, homeschool program, or workplace readiness event, every JobStart workshop is designed with one goal in mind: to equip young people with the confidence, practical skills, and professional habits they need to succeed from their very first day on the job.
